Cortland County SPCA is proud to be a staple of the local community. We are a no-kill, private animal shelter that adopts out dogs and cats, provides low cost spay/neuter services to the public, and enforces animal cruelty laws county wide.
Meet Smoke 🐾💙
Those eyes. Smoke’s bright blue eyes are the first thing you’ll notice… and once you meet him, his personality will seal the deal.
This 8-year-old, large-and-in-charge gentleman may play it a little shy at first, but don’t let that fool you—he’s actually incredibly sweet, friendly, and loves attention once he warms up. He’s the kind of cat who just wants to be near his person, soaking up the quiet moments and sharing his calm, easygoing presence.
Smoke is the definition of a laid-back companion—no drama, just love, comfort, and those unforgettable blue eyes.
If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate cat to share your home with, Smoke is ready to meet you 🐾💙

Continue Jim's legacy by sponsoring adoption fees, and carrying forward his passion for education, and love for animals.
All of our adoptable pets are spayed/neutered and up to date on their vaccinations
We offer low cost spay/neuter clinic to the public to help reduce the local homeless pet population
We rely heavily on monetary donations from the public but there are several different ways to help support our shelter
