59-8A-1 Dog at Large
1) Any owner to allow any dog to run at large.
59-8A-2 Inadequate Collar/Leash
2) Any owner to fail to restrain any dog by an adequate collar and leash unless it is accompanied by its owner or a responsible person able to control it by command, when not on the property of the owner.
59-8A-3 Barking/Noisy
3) Any owner to allow any dog to engage in habitual loud howling, barking, crying or whining or conduct itself in such a manner so as to unreasonably and habitually annoy and/or disturb any person other than the owner of such dog.
59-8A-4 Nuisance, Damage
4) Any owner to allow any dog to cause damage or destruction to property or defecate, urinate, dig or otherwise commit a nuisance other than on the property of the owner of such dog.
59-8A-5 Harass, Intimidate
5) Any owner to allow any dog to chase, jump upon or at, or otherwise harass any person in such a manner as to reasonably cause intimidation or fear or to put such person in reasonable apprehension of bodily harm or injury.
59-8A-6 Dog Harass Vehicle
6) Any owner to allow any dog to chase, run alongside of, bark at or otherwise harass any motor vehicle, motorcycle, bicycle, carriage or any other vehicle or device used by persons for travel or any riders or occupants thereof while said vehicle or device is on a public highway or private property other than property of the owner of said dog. For purposes of this section, a horse or other animal shall be considered a vehicle or device.
59-8A-7 Unlicensed
7) Any owner to fail to license any dog at the age of four months or older, or allow any dog to be unlicensed due to failure to renew a dog license.
59-8A-8 Unidentified
8) Any owner to fail to have any dog identified by a valid and current Town dog license and identification tag.
59-8A-9 Affix False ID
9) Any person to knowingly affix to any dog any false or improper identification tag or any identification tag belonging to another dog.
59-8A-10 Failure to Confine/Present
10) Any owner or custodian of any dog to fail to confine, restrain or present such dog for any lawful purpose pursuant to this article or Article 7 of the New York State Agriculture and Markets Law.
59-8A-11 Furnish False Form Information
11) Any person to furnish any false or misleading information on any license or form required by the Town, the Town's Dog Control Officer, or any shelter or pound servicing the Town.
59-8A-12 Failure to Notify Change Town Clerk
12) Any owner to fail to notify the Town Clerk of any change of ownership, change of address, death or loss of any dog licensed in the Town.
64-3A-1 Dog at Large
1) Run at large, unless said dog is restrained by an adequate collar and leash not to exceed eight feet in length or unless accompanied by its owner or a responsible person able to control the animal.
64-3A-2 Barking/Noisy
2) Engage in habitual loud howling or barking or to conduct itself in such a manner as to habitually annoy any person other than the owner or owners harboring such dog.
64-3A-3 Nuisance
3) Cause damage or destruction to property or commit a nuisance upon the premises of a person other than the owner or persons harboring such dog.
64-3A-4 Dog Harass, Intimidate
4) Chase or otherwise harass any person in such a manner as to reasonably cause intimidation or to put such person in reasonable apprehension of bodily harm or injury.

5) Habitually chase or bark at motor vehicles.
5A Dog at Large
1) No person shall permit a dog owned by him or her to be at large within the Town unless the dog is restrained by a leash or unless the dog is accompanied by its owner or a responsible person able to control the dog by command.
5B Barking/Noisy
2) No person shall keep, suffer or permit to be kept on the premises occupied by such person any dog which by its continual barking, howling, or whining or other frequent or long continued noises unreasonably disturbs the comfort or repose of other persons.
5C Nuisance
3) No person shall permit any dog to uproot, dig or otherwise damage any vegetables, lawns, flower beds or other property not belonging to the owner of such dog.
5D Dog Harass, Intimidate
4) No person shall permit any dog to chase, jump upon or at or otherwise harass a person in such a manner to cause intimidation or fear or to put any person in reasonable apprehension of bodily harm or injury.
5E Dog Harass Vehicle
5) No person shall permit any dog to habitually chase, run alongside of or bark at motor vehicles while on a public street or highway or upon public or private property other than property of the owner or harborer of said dog.
5F Urinate/Defecate
6) No person shall permit any dog to defecate, urinate or dig on public property or private property other than the property of the owner or harborer of said dog.
58.3A Dog at Large

7A Dog at Large
1) Run at large unless the dog is restrained by an adequate leash or unless it is accompanied by its owner or a responsible person and under the full and immediate control of such owner or person. For the purpose of the local law, a dog or dogs hunting in the company of a hunter or hunters shall be considered as accompanied by its owners.
7B Barking/Noisy
2) Engage in habitual loud howling, barking, crying or whining or conduct itself in such a manner so as to unreasonably and habitually disturb the comfort or repose of any person other than the owner thereof.
7C Nuisance
3) Uproot, dig, or otherwise damage any vegetables, lawns, flowers, garden beds, or other property without the consent or approval of the owner thereof.
7D Dog Harass, Intimidate
4) Bite, chase, jump upon or otherwise harass any person in such a manner as to reasonably cause intimidation or fear or to put such person in reasonable apprehension of bodily harm or injury.
7E Dog Harass Vehicle
5) Habitually chase, run alongside of or bark at motor vehicles, motorcycles, or bicycles while on a public street, highway or place, or upon private property without consent or approval of the owner of such property.
7F Urinate/Defecate
6) Create a nuisance by defecating, urinating or digging on public property, or on private property without the consent or approval of the owner of such property.
7G Dog in Heat
7) If a female dog when in heat, be off the owner’s premises unrestrained by a leash.
7H Injure/Kill Companion Animal
8) Kill or injure any dog, cat or other household pet.
7I Unlicensed
9) Be unlicensed when four months of age or older.
7J Failure to License
10) Fail to license any dog as required under this Local Law.
7K Failure to Renew License
11) Fail to renew a dog license on or before the license expiration date.
7L Affix False ID
12) Knowingly affix to any dog a false or improper identification tag.
7M Furnish False Form Information
13) Furnish any false or misleading information on any forms required by the Town of Solon to obtain a dog license.
